  1. Answer a few quick questions

Mostly taps: your age, work, how long you want to stay and your budget. You only type your name and contact details.

  2. A law firm in Phuket replies

Our partner law firm, an authorized agent, looks at your answers and replies to you directly with the visa options that fit and what each one needs.

  3. You decide

The enquiry is free and does not commit you. If you go ahead, the firm explains its own fees first and handles the application with you.

Question 1 of 8
How old are you?

The retirement route starts at 50.

Who it suits, the application steps and the old Elite nameShow all

Who the Thailand Privilege visa suits

  • You want to live in Thailand for 5 years or more and would rather hold one visa for the whole period than apply for a new one every year.
  • You do not need to work for a Thai employer or run a business in Thailand.
  • The fee for the tier you need fits your budget. Compare the cost per year: Bronze and Gold cover 5 years, Platinum 10, Diamond 15, Reserve 20+.

When another visa is the better fit

  • You need to work in Thailand. Official guides say members may not take local employment, except through the Flexible Plus Program (USD 1 million minimum investment). Look at the LTR visa instead.
  • You are 50 or over and want the lowest cost. Compare with the retirement visa, which has its own financial requirements.
  • You only plan to stay for a year or less. A long-stay membership is likely more than you need.

How applying works

You send an enquiry. Use the form on this page. Tell us how long you want to stay and which tier you are thinking about.

We pass it on. We forward your enquiry to a partner law firm in Phuket, which gets in touch with you about the tier and the documents.

The application goes in. The official tier pages say you apply online or through an authorized agent.

You wait for approval. The official tier pages say approval comes within 2 months, then activation within 1 week after payment. One official guide says the background check typically takes one to three months.

This is the general path as we read it on the official pages. Your exact steps can differ.

Thailand Elite or Thailand Privilege?

Same program, new name. What used to be marketed as the Thailand Elite visa or Thailand Elite card now runs as Thailand Privilege. Older articles, forum posts and agent pages still use the Elite name, which is why you will see both. On this site we use Thailand Privilege and mention the old name where it helps.

Thailand Privilege visa FAQ

How much is the Thailand Elite visa now?

The program now runs as Thailand Privilege. The official site lists Bronze at 650,000 THB (5 years), Gold at 900,000 THB (5 years), Platinum at 1,500,000 THB (10 years), Diamond at 2,500,000 THB (15 years) and Reserve at 5,000,000 THB (20+ years). Prices last checked 25 October 2026.

Is the Thailand Privilege card the same as the Thailand Elite visa?

Yes. Thailand Privilege is the new name of Thailand Elite. People call it the Thailand Privilege visa, the Thailand Privilege card, the Thailand Elite visa or the Thai Elite visa.

Can I work in Thailand with a Thailand Privilege visa?

Official guides say members are not allowed to engage in local employment. The official guide comparing the card with the LTR visa adds that members can only work through the Flexible Plus Program, which needs an investment of at least USD 1 million. If you need to work here, our suggestion is to look at the LTR visa or ask about a work permit route.

How long does the application take?

The official tier pages say approval comes within 2 months, then you pay, and the membership is activated within 1 week. One official guide says the background check typically takes one to three months.

Does the Bronze tier have an end date?

The official site lists Bronze at 650,000 THB for 5 years and gives no end date. One official guide labels it a limited time offer, so ask the program whether a deadline applies. Checked 25 October 2026.

Can my spouse or children be added?

Official pages say family members can be added at Platinum, Diamond and Reserve. The price differs between official pages: 750,000 THB (listed as a limited offer), 500,000 THB (two guides), and 1,000,000 to 2,000,000 THB (one guide, depending on the tier). Ask for the current figure in your enquiry.

Can I apply without an agent?

Yes. The official tier pages say you can submit the application online or through authorized agents worldwide, including in Thailand. If you want help, we pass your enquiry to a partner law firm in Phuket.

Are you the official Thailand Privilege website?

No. We are an independent guide. The official program site is thailandprivilege.co.th. We may receive a referral fee from our partner law firm if you apply through it; the enquiry itself is free for you.
